Just before I started writing this post, I visited again the blog that is hosted today on “blurpixels”, to wander around the photographs and read again a few of my favorite posts.
Every time that I post a mini interview of another blogger on “blurpixels”, I feel happy and I always write a few words about my personal sense, when I visit the page of the other creator. But today, words seem little, how would I initiate a proper introduction about “Neanikon”. They are so many the things I get by reading Ari`s posts and I admire so much all that he presents on his blog.
I just love “Neanikon”, it makes my day, it inspires me to create, it transports me to another era, beautiful, calmer, full of colors, smells, tastes and positive energy.
I warmly thank Aris, for this beautiful cooperation and his unique pictures that shares with us from his blog, “Neanikon“.
– if you have a blog and you are intrested in participating in the mini interviews series please contact me at the email of the blog or via social media 🙂
Can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and your blog? I love the center of Athens but I prefer Paris, I am constantly inspired by the aesthetics of past decades, I craft all the time, I use Instagram for inspiration, I dream a lot, my diet is based on natural foods, I work out regularly so I can be strong enough to manage my everyday needs! In my blog someone will find recipes for pure and nutritious sweets as well as information about all the handmade products that I craft & sell via my e-shop and the physical stores I work with. It is a lifestyle blog which combines different things under the same aesthetics and culture.
What inspired you to start your blog? Initially, I started my blog to share my recipes, but now it is the core component of my bigger effort to create everything I am dreaming of! I’m still in the beginning!
How do you shoot and edit your photographs for your blog? Photography is really important! I’m trying too hard to get the desired quality. I carefully set up the scene, study and adjust the light, set my DSLR according to the concept, use tripod, diffusers and reflectors. In post production I use LightRoom and very rarely Photoshop. I do not always get what I want. Sometimes I am really disappointed with the result, but I try again and insist for the best.
How do you schedule your posts? My main goal is to post once a week, or a little more often or slightly longer depending on the time I have. I want to provide both quality and quantity, beacause they are both necessary.
What inspires you to write your blog posts? So many! I always look for inspiration, either around me or on the Internet! My imagination never ends! 🙂
Can you share your number one personal photography/ blogging tip? It may sound like a cliché but the most important is to do things with great passion! It must be really a labor of love, something that gives us joy! The rest will follow as long as we work hard.
What do you do when you are not blogging? I do have a day job …. Unfortunately both my job and Neanikon require most of my time. My free time is limited and devoted to my beloved ones and of course to my everyday needs and obligations. There is no time for something else, but I do not complain, I feel content!
What is your favorite social media platform and how that helps your blogging journey? Although facebook seems to provide most of the social media traffic to Neanikon, I personally prefer Instagram. I love to follow the work of other bloggers and creators. I feel so much grateful for this amazing gift Technology has to offer! Without cost, we can learn so much about everything we love!
Where would you like to be in blogging five years from now? It is almost impossible to predict the future of blogging. Probably it will not exist in the form we use it today. Internet has already shifted from web to social media, so lots of things have changed or they are about to change. As far as Neanikon is concerned, in 5 years, I want to provide a beautiful and rich mobile Internet experience and be more active through actions and activities in the real world as well.
